HPP was set up with two very important objectives :

to meet the increasing demand for high quality steel tubular in the Asia-Pacific region.
to complement government efforts to increase and assimilate local participation in hi-tech industries in Malaysia.

HPP is a manufacturer of high quality spiral welded steel pipes for the oil and gas industry, marine and off-shore structure, and water distribution.

HPP is the largest pipe manufacturer in Malaysia, with an annual production capacity of 100,000 metrics tons. HPP spiral-welded pipe manufacturing process is based on the state-of-the-art two-step manufacturing technology.

HPP is one of over 100 companies in the DRB-HICOM group, which has interests in automobile and component manufacturing, telecommunication, transportation, building materials, construction, leisure and hospitality, and property development, among others.

The DRB-HICOM Group has a net worth of over RM2 billion, and is backed by assets of over RM3 billion.
